Meghan Markle releases new photo and video of her and Prince Harry’s daughter Lilibet

Meghan Markle has shared never-before-seen footage and a photo of her daughter Lilibet as part of a heartfelt tribute celebrating the International Day of the Girl.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex — who stepped back from royal duties and relocated to California — have long been protective of their children’s privacy. But in recent months, the couple have offered rare glimpses into their family life in Montecito.

The former Suits actress shares two children with Prince Harry: Archie, six, and four-year-old Lilibet, affectionately known as Lili.

In the post shared on Saturday, Meghan released a short clip of Lili running barefoot across a garden lawn in a pale pink matching set, her long red hair tied back in a ponytail. A second image showed Meghan holding her daughter’s hand and smiling down at her, while Lili wore a bright pink T-shirt, light leggings, and a tiny purse draped over one arm.

The duchess captioned the post with an empowering message:

“To all the girls — this world is yours.
Do everything you can to protect your rights, use your voice, support each other.
We will do the same for you. It’s your right and our responsibility. Go get ‘em girl!”

Although Meghan has gradually shared more about her children, she continues to protect their identities, never revealing their full faces in public posts.

Earlier this month, on October 9, she spoke about the impact of social media on children while accepting the Humanitarians of the Year award at the 2025 World Mental Health Day Gala, hosted by Project Healthy Minds.

Standing beside Prince Harry, Meghan told the audience that her children had inspired their ongoing advocacy.

“Our children, Archie and Lilibet, are just six and four years old,” she said. “Luckily, they’re still too young for social media, but we know that day is coming. Like so many parents, we think constantly about how to embrace technology’s benefits while safeguarding against its dangers. And that hopeful intention of separation is rapidly becoming impossible.”

Harry also addressed the crowd, emphasizing their joint efforts through The Archewell Foundation and The Parents’ Network, which supports families affected by online harm.

“Tonight we’re all here together to focus on what remains one of the most pressing issues of our time,” he said. “This is a pivotal moment in our mission to protect children and support families in the digital age — and we cannot do it without you.”

The couple were honored for their work promoting digital safety and mental wellbeing through initiatives designed to create a safer, more compassionate online world for young people and their families.
