Meghan Markle has given fans an intimate look at her recent trip to New York with Prince Harry — and one blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moment has sent social media into meltdown: Harry in grey sweatpants.
In an Instagram Reel shared on Monday, October 13, the Duchess of Sussex reflected on the couple’s time in the Big Apple, posting a montage of travel moments and behind-the-scenes glimpses from their whirlwind visit.
Set to Dinah Washington’s classic “If I Were a Bell,” the video opens with sweeping airplane views and NYC-themed cookies before shifting to shots of Meghan’s sock-clad feet, chic blazers, and high heels scattered across a hotel floor.
Then came the moment fans can’t stop talking about — a brief clip of Prince Harry standing barefoot in a doorway, dressed in a grey T-shirt and matching sweatpants, smiling fondly at Meghan as she films.

The casual glimpse of the Duke quickly went viral. “There’s just something so sexy about looking up and seeing your man standing there in grey sweatpants, grinning from ear to ear,” one fan wrote alongside a screenshot. Another added, “Harry has never looked sexier. That’s a man in love.”
Social media was soon flooded with comments celebrating the couple’s chemistry. “He’s so smitten with her, it’s adorable,” one fan gushed, while another declared simply, “Grey sweatpants. Enough said.”
Beyond the viral moment, the reel offered a closer look at the Sussexes’ New York engagements. The couple attended the Project Healthy Minds’ World Mental Health Day Gala on October 9 and the World Mental Health Day Festival the following day.
Clips showed Meghan doing her makeup before stepping out with Harry, the two holding hands and laughing during the gala where they were honored as Humanitarians of the Year. The Duchess also shared footage from the festival panels — Harry introduced a session on youth mental health in the digital age, while Meghan spoke about childhood well-being and global mental health challenges.
Of course, no New York trip would be complete without a little indulgence. The montage included glimpses of half-eaten pizza boxes and even a flash of singer Ed Sheeran, who reportedly joined the couple for dinner at Soho House on October 12.
Meghan captioned the post: “Until the next time, NYC — thanks for the memories! (You really know how to charm a gal).”
But not everyone was impressed. Royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams told The Express that Meghan’s choice to share such personal footage was “unroyal.”
“The trip was about a serious subject to which the Sussexes have contributed,” Fitzwilliams said. “This mishmash of a video looked juvenile, unsophisticated, and very unroyal.”
He added: “Meghan’s new video seems off-key, with rows of shoes and dresses while Harry lounges barefoot. You feel the allure of luxury is irresistible to her, but she should remember that it’s beyond the reach of many.”
