Tea is spilling — and this time, the cleanup could be nearly impossible.
Prince Andrew, the disgraced former Duke of York, is reportedly under investigation by London police and could face jail time, while his ex-wife, Sarah Ferguson, is also being probed for misusing charity funds. According to new reports, both could even be forced to leave the United Kingdom.
“Andrew is going to be charged with various public offenses and misconduct in public office … he’ll probably go to jail. The case against him is pretty clear … he’s toast,” historian Andrew Lownie, author of Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York, told NewsNation’s Paula Froelich.
Andrew Faces New Legal Troubles
The third child of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip — now known simply as Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor — is not expected to face charges related to sex trafficking, but rather for “financial impropriety,” according to Lownie.
The 65-year-old royal was stripped of his titles, including “Prince” and “His Royal Highness,” on Nov. 3 following renewed allegations of his involvement with Jeffrey Epstein.

From 2001 to 2011, Andrew served as the UK’s trade envoy and was known to mingle with controversial figures in countries like Libya, Kazakhstan, and Laos. He frequently bypassed embassies, opting instead for luxury accommodations and lavish spending.
Authorities are also examining claims that, in 2011, Andrew asked a police officer to obtain private information about his accuser, Virginia Giuffre.
The Shadow of Epstein
Giuffre, who died by suicide in April, had written in her posthumously published memoir Nobody’s Girl that Jeffrey Epstein forced her to have sex with Andrew on three occasions — including once when she was 17.
The UK advocacy group Republic, which campaigns to abolish the monarchy, is reportedly pressing lawyers to explore possible charges against Andrew for sexual assault, corruption, or misconduct while holding public office.
Sarah Ferguson Also Under Investigation
Meanwhile, Andrew’s ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, 66, is being investigated for misusing funds from book deals and brand endorsements that were supposed to benefit charity.
“She’s been basically using charities to make money. So she’s gonna be in trouble there,” Lownie said.

Exile on the Horizon
The couple’s mounting scandals could soon push them out of England altogether.
“Andrew will end up in the UAE like Juan Carlos [Spain’s former king], and as for Fergie, she will likely go to live in Portugal and Switzerland while maintaining a small presence in London with help from friends,” Lownie predicted.
Once one of the royal family’s most visible pairs, Andrew and Sarah now appear to be on the brink of losing not just their reputations — but their place in the UK itself.
