William and Kate’s ‘fresh priorities’ after cancer shock with ‘no room left’ for Harry and Meghan drama

Kate Middleton was diagnosed with cancer back in March, and a Royal expert has claimed that the health scare has made the Princess of Wales rethink her priorities – including ‘drama’ with Prince Harry

A Royal commentator has suggested that Kate Middleton’s cancer diagnosis has prompted her to reassess her life and what truly matters. In March, the Princess of Wales shared the news of her cancer diagnosis, and by June, the 42 year old, who is currently undergoing preventative chemotherapy, acknowledged experiencing “good days and bad days”.

Former BBC Royal correspondent Jennie Bond remarked that the health scare likely made the Princess reflect on her life’s priorities, emphasising that her main focus is now on Prince William and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.

“I’m sure cancer has made Catherine take a look at her life and her priorities. And I think those priorities are firmly with her family, her husband and her children,” Bond commented.

She further mentioned that Kate probably doesn’t have the capacity to be concerned with past issues or anything related to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle at present or in the future. Jennie also noted that for Kate and Prince William, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who resigned from their senior Royal roles in January 2020, are considered “irrelevant”.

She described the Prince and Princess of Wales as a “tight and strong unit”, especially after 13 years of marriage.

“As far as William and Catherine are concerned, Harry and Meghan are irrelevant to them, their family and to the future of their lives. But there hasn’t really been any renewed drama coming from California since her cancer diagnosis, so I don’t think there’s been anything in particular for William to feel he has to shield Catherine from,” she told OK!.

“William and Catherine are a tight and strong unit. I don’t think they have anything more to fear from Harry and Meghan.”

These assertions follow reports that the Princess of Wales will be joining King Charles and other Royal Family members at Balmoral Castle for their annual summer gathering.

In an earlier chat with OK!, Jennie revealed how the summer holidays will provide a much-needed respite for the royals after a year dominated by health concerns.

“It’s been one heck of a year for the Royal Family so far and nothing would please the King more than to have his close family gathered together in the peace of Balmoral for a time to take stock together, mark the passing of an incredibly difficult few months and look to the future,” she explained.
