The Princess of Wales was all smiles and animated conversation during the Trooping the Colour procession, as she shared a number of warm moments with her children.
Sweet Exchange Between Kate and Charlotte
Professional lip reader Nicola Hickling has shed light on one charming interaction between Princess Kate and her 10-year-old daughter, Princess Charlotte, as they departed Buckingham Palace by carriage.
Kate was seen giggling and nodding while speaking with Charlotte, who shyly replied, “I did, oh my goodness.” The brief but sweet exchange captured the close bond between mother and daughter.
As the royal family made their way down The Mall toward Horse Guards Parade, Nicola noted that Prince George, the eldest of the Wales children, remarked on the bright weather, saying: “It’s so sunny, I am squinting.” The young prince was also spotted sneezing upon their arrival at the parade grounds.
While Kate joined King Charles and Queen Camilla on the dais to view the military display, George, Charlotte, and Prince Louis observed the event from a Ministry of Defence building that overlooked Horse Guards Parade.
Balcony Appearance and Matching Looks
Following the ceremony, the royal family returned to the palace in the carriage procession, waving to the crowds before stepping out on the balcony for the traditional RAF flypast.
One visual highlight of the day was the coordinated look between Kate and Charlotte. The mother-daughter duo wore matching aquamarine outfits. Kate’s ensemble featured a Catherine Walker coatdress with white lapels and cuffs, while Charlotte wore a flutter-sleeved dress with a white bow sash and detailed trim.
Kate completed her look with a teal Juliette Botterill hat, her Irish Guards regimental brooch, and a pair of pearl and diamond earrings that once belonged to Queen Elizabeth II.
Charlotte also wore a meaningful accessory: a pearl brooch shaped like a horseshoe. The delicate piece originally belonged to the late Queen Mother, adding a sentimental touch to her appearance.
