Donald Trump made savage dig at Meghan Markle when asked if he’d deport Prince Harry

As immigration debates heat up across the U.S., former President Donald Trump’s remarks about Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are once again under the spotlight. While protests continue over alleged misconduct by ICE and questions swirl around deportation policies, Trump recently clarified that he has no intention of seeking the Duke of Sussex’s removal from the country.

During a recent interview, Trump addressed speculation regarding Prince Harry’s U.S. visa. The speculation stems from Harry’s revelations in his memoir Spare, where he openly admitted to past drug use—including cocaine, marijuana, and psychedelic mushrooms. These admissions sparked concerns from The Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank, which questioned whether his visa application had fully disclosed such details, and even called for his immigration records to be made public.

Despite the legal curiosity surrounding Harry’s case, Trump took a surprisingly relaxed stance. When asked if he would pursue deportation, he responded: “I don’t want to do that,” before adding a pointed remark: “He’s got enough problems with his wife. She’s terrible.”

Trump’s comments about Meghan Markle are not new. He has previously described her as “nasty,” though he later clarified that he was referring to her statements about him—not her personality. Speaking to various outlets over the years, including The Sun and Piers Morgan, Trump has oscillated between sharp critiques and polite diplomacy. “I think she’s very nice,” he said in one instance, “but I don’t know her.”

The tensions between the former president and the Sussexes are rooted in Meghan’s vocal opposition to Trump during his presidency. She publicly supported Hillary Clinton in 2016 and criticized Trump’s rhetoric, calling it divisive and misogynistic.

Trump, on the other hand, has spoken warmly about Prince William, praising him as “a great young man” while contrasting his calm demeanor with the more public and controversial presence of Harry and Meghan.

In recent days, the couple has also faced criticism over a resurfaced video clip involving Meghan that some commentators claim is “in poor taste.” Regardless of public opinion, the Sussexes continue to occupy headlines—often at the intersection of politics, pop culture, and royalty.

With immigration still a lightning rod in American politics, Prince Harry’s visa situation remains a topic of interest. But for now, at least, Trump appears willing to leave the matter—and the couple—alone.
