Expert Says Meghan Has Set Two Demands For Reconciling with William and Kate: ‘There’s No Way…’

Meghan Markle has reportedly outlined two non-negotiable conditions before she would consider reconciling with Prince William and Kate Middleton.

According to royal expert Tom Quinn, while the Prince and Princess of Wales have made multiple attempts to bridge the divide, the rift between the Sussexes and the Waleses remains unresolved.

Speaking to The Mirror, Quinn said, “Harry would like a reconciliation, but supports his wife completely, and until she feels that the royal family have been sufficiently nice to her—and grovelingly apologized for the past, it’s not going to happen.” Citing Marca, he added that the Duchess has no intention of returning to royal life, even for a brief visit to the UK, and may be discouraging Harry from reaching out to his brother and sister-in-law.

Impact of Kate’s Illness on Family Tensions

Quinn noted a subtle change in the dynamic since Kate Middleton’s illness became public. “Harry and Meghan do feel they need to extend an olive branch, but Meghan’s sense of grievance is still preventing anything really meaningful from happening,” he said. “Illness often brings warring family members together, and there have been hopes at Kensington Palace that Kate’s illness might do it.”

According to Quinn, William and Kate have made efforts to reconnect, even inviting the Sussexes to bring Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to the UK for a visit. However, the Duchess allegedly declined, with Quinn stating, “There is no way Meghan would bring the children to the UK.”

Despite the ongoing distance, Prince Harry remains hopeful about restoring some family ties. As reported by People, he has expressed a desire for his children to know their heritage, saying, “I have said before that I have wanted a family, not an institution—so of course, I would love nothing more than for our children to have relationships with members of my family, and they do with some, which brings me great joy.”

From ‘Fab 4’ to Estranged Couples

Once nicknamed the ‘Fab 4’, Harry, William, Kate, and Meghan’s close bond unraveled after the Sussexes’ explosive claims about the royal family in their Netflix documentary and Oprah Winfrey interview. Other than polite gestures such as well-wishes for Harry’s 40th birthday and Kate’s cancer battle, the couples remain out of contact. Reports have also suggested that the Sussexes could lose their titles if William becomes King or if they make further damaging allegations.

During Harry’s most recent visit to London on April 8-9, neither William nor King Charles met with him, underscoring the lingering strain between the once-close family members.
