Lip reader revealed Prince William’s brutal remark to Queen Camilla during VE Day

Prince William is said to have made a sharp remark to Queen Camilla during the VE Day celebrations, and reports claim she responded by admitting she needs to “try harder.”

It’s rare to see the entire royal family—young and old—come together on the Buckingham Palace balcony. But on 5 May, to mark 80 years since VE Day, when Germany surrendered in World War II, the royals reunited to watch the traditional flypast.

The Prince and Princess of Wales brought along all three of their children, who were seen playing a small game to stay entertained.

Kate was seen encouraging George, Charlotte, and Louis to keep their “eyes on the sky” as they watched the colorful smoke trails left by the planes.

Now, a lip reader has reportedly uncovered exactly what was said during this latest balcony moment.

According to Hello! Magazine, lip reader Nicola Hickling said that the family seemed to be trying to keep the kids interested during the event.

Talking to her seven-year-old son, Prince Louis, Kate reportedly said: When the flypast comes, you will see it smoke blue, white and red.”

As he watched the RAF planes fly overhead, he commented: They have lots of tanks.”

It looks like Prince William has passed on his love for aircraft to his children, as they were seen playing a guessing game about the different planes.

Kate was heard saying: What is this, George,” to which he replied, Err that’s erm a…I can’t see it yet.”
He later figured out it was an Atlas aircraft.

Apparently, William even tried to get Queen Camilla to join in the fun, but it seems she wasn’t as familiar with the planes as the rest of the Wales family.

According to Hickling, William told her: “It’s the wrong answer.”

She replied: “Are we playing this still? I need to try harder.”

Prince George’s love for airplanes isn’t something new.

Back in 2016, during the 75th anniversary of the Royal Air Force Air Cadets, Kate shared that her son was obsessed with the air cadets and wants to join.”

By 2021, she mentioned that all of her kids had developed an interest in planes. And it’s no surprise—after all, their father had a military background even before they were born.

Now 42, Prince William once worked as a helicopter pilot in the Royal Air Force, where he served for three years doing search and rescue missions.
