‘Forgotten’: Prince Harry’s secret letter revealed

Details have emerged about a private letter written by Prince Harry, in what many see as a step toward mending ties with King Charles and Prince William.

A Quiet Tribute on VP Day

Last week, Harry arranged for a personal tribute to Britain’s fallen soldiers to be placed at the National Memorial Arboretum on Victory in the Pacific Day. While King Charles and Queen Camilla led the official remembrance service in Staffordshire on Friday, Harry had a letter and wreath placed at the Burma Star Memorial, honoring those who served.

According to GB News, the Duke of Sussex deliberately ensured his message was delivered only after the King and Queen had departed, so as not to draw attention away from the official event.

Harry’s Heartfelt Words

In the letter, Harry reflected on the day’s significance and paid special tribute to his grandfather, Prince Philip, who had served in the Pacific campaign.

“For me, this anniversary carries an added layer of meaning,” he wrote.

“My late grandfather, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, served in the Pacific campaign.

He spoke with quiet humility about those years, but I know how deeply he respected all who stood beside him in that theatre of war.

“Today, as I think of him, I think also of each of you, of the shared hardships, the bonds forged, and the legacy you leave.
I am humbled by your example, proud of your service and dedication, and profoundly grateful for what you endured. Your story is part of our shared heritage, and it must never be forgotten. With the deepest respect, thank you.”

The move follows a reported meeting between representatives of Harry’s team and Clarence House earlier this year. Both sides are said to have agreed to maintain closer communication.

“There’s a long road ahead, but a channel of communication is now open for the first time in years,” a source told The Mail.

Looking Ahead: Family Gatherings on the Horizon

Harry could soon be reunited with senior members of the Royal Family, including the King, Prince William, and Princess Catherine, at the wedding of his cousin Peter Phillips, Princess Anne’s son. Phillips is preparing to marry for a second time, with a date expected in the spring.

The Duke of Sussex is also keen to have his family present at the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham, when the event returns to the UK for the first time since its launch in London.
