After Her First Day at the 9-5 Job, Woman Breaks Down In Tears

A TikToker has gone viral for crying about how stressful and time-consuming her first 9-5 job has been.

Wanting to live in the city can be costly. So, when TikToker Brielle decided she wanted to be a city girl, she had to begin working a 9-5.

However, her new job became an instant stressor for her, as the travel time was too much to handle.

After coming home from a shift, Brielle recorded herself crying while explaining why she was overwhelmed by her first 9-5. TikTok has since reacted in agreement with Brielle for her viral breakdown.

TikToker says she has no time to workout or be with friends while working 9-5

Brielle may have over 100K followers on Instagram, but she decided that she needed to work her first 9-5 job to afford living in the city after graduating from college.

In her viral video, Brielle tearfully explained her reasoning for being too overwhelmed by her eight-hour work day, saying, “I know I’m probably just being so dramatic and annoying, but this is my first job, like, my first 9-5 job after college.”

Brielle continued, “I’m in person and I’m commuting in the city and it takes me f*cking forever to get there.”

She then said that her commute time took over an hour each way, as she left for work around 7 and got home by 6:15.

Brielle then harped on not having time to herself, saying, “I don’t have time to do anything. I want to shower, eat my dinner, go to sleep — I don’t have time or energy to cook my dinner either.”

She continued to express her frustration with not being able to have time to workout, saying that that idea was “out the window.” Not only that, but she questioned how much time she would have to be with friends as well.

Brielle also made an effort to note that her stress had nothing to do with her job and everything to do with it not being remote for her, as she said that if she was able to arrive home minutes after work it would make a huge difference.

Those who saw Brielle’s viral TikTok took to the comments to express their feelings on her vent session, saying, “It’s so repetitive and depressing, I feel you, girl.”

While another agreed, saying, “Everyone feels like this and no one does anything about it.”

As well as, “I remember having this same realization… like this is what I couldn’t wait to grow up for? To live like this?”

After expressing her feelings about her 9-5, Brielle uploaded an additional TikTok saying that she was still employed, but didn’t want to be put on “blast” for her emotional breakdown.
