An old man discovered hundreds of strange round objects under his porch that looked like eggs—and when he broke one open, what he saw inside left him frozen in shock.
For several days, the 70-year-old retiree hadn’t been able to sleep peacefully in his old house. Every night, from under the porch, he heard strange noises—as if hundreds of tiny bodies were wriggling through the soil—interrupted now and then by a faint, eerie sound, almost like whispering.
That night, the noise became unbearable. Around three in the morning, the man finally gave in. He grabbed a flashlight and a shovel and stepped outside.
Following the sound, he knelt near the porch, right where the noises seemed to come from, and pointed his light into the darkness.
He gasped. The ground was covered with hundreds of oval, greenish-white objects that looked like large chicken eggs. Some were partially buried, others lay right on the surface.
What alarmed him most was that many of the “eggs” had begun to change color—dark spots were forming on the shells, as though something inside was moving. With trembling hands, the old man picked one up. It was warm and slightly damp.
Summoning all his courage, he struck the egg with his shovel. The shell cracked—and in that instant, he froze. Inside was…
A dark, twitching creature. It wasn’t a chick. It was a newborn snake.
The moment he stumbled back, a menacing hiss echoed from the shadows.
From beneath the wooden boards, a large adult snake slithered out—thick-bodied, long, its scales gleaming in the beam of the flashlight. It lifted its head sharply, opened its mouth wide, and lunged toward him.
Terrified, the old man nearly dropped his flashlight. He swung the shovel wildly and bolted without looking back. His heart pounded so hard it felt like it might burst from his chest. He ran to his neighbor’s house and called for help.
When the specialists arrived, they couldn’t believe what they saw: beneath the porch was a massive nest of snakes—hundreds of eggs and several adults.
The warmth and humidity under the porch had made it a perfect breeding ground, drawing the snakes there to lay their eggs.
The area was cleared and the snakes were removed, and the man was strictly forbidden from going near his house until the site had been fully treated.
