I mix lemon and salt, used in this way they are worth their weight in gold

Lemon is a natural disinfectant thanks to its high citric acid content. It helps eliminate bacteria, dissolves grease, and neutralizes unpleasant odors, while leaving a pleasant fresh scent.

Salt, on the other hand, is an excellent abrasive that removes stains, absorbs moisture, and helps disinfect surfaces. Together, they provide a powerful, 100% natural cleaning solution.

1. Eliminate Bad Odors Naturally

Do you open your refrigerator or microwave, and an unpleasant odor comes out? Don’t panic, lemon and salt come to the rescue!

How to do it?

  • Cut a lemon into slices and arrange them on a plate.
  • Sprinkle with salt and place the plate in your refrigerator or microwave.
  • Leave it to act for a few hours: the odors will be absorbed, and the air refreshed.

You can also scrub the inside of the fridge with half a lemon covered in salt for a deeper clean.

2. Clean and Degrease Pots and Pans

Grease residue and burnt-on food stuck to pans can be difficult to remove. Fortunately, lemon and salt act as a powerful natural degreaser.

Instructions for use:

  • Cut a lemon in half and sprinkle the pulp with salt.
  • Rub directly onto the surface of the pot or pan.
  • Leave it on for 5 minutes, then rinse with hot water.

This trick also works for disinfecting wooden cutting boards!

3. Restoring Shine to Silver Cutlery

Has your silverware lost its shine over time? Lemon and salt can effortlessly revive it!

Quick tip:

  • Mix the juice of one lemon with a pinch of salt.
  • Soak a soft cloth in the mixture and gently rub the cutlery.
  • Rinse with clean water and dry with a clean cloth.

Your silverware will regain its shine without expensive chemicals!

4. Removing Grease Stains from Chairs

Kitchen seats are often plagued by grease stains or fingerprints. Rather than using a harsh cleaner, try this gentle yet effective method.

How to proceed?

  • Soak a clean cloth with fresh lemon juice.
  • Add a pinch of salt to the stained area.
  • Rub gently until the stain disappears.

This method is ideal for fabric, wood, or plastic surfaces!

5. A Natural Ant Repellent

Have you noticed an ant infestation in your home? Instead of using insecticides, opt for a natural and safe method.

Ant repellent solution:

  • Place lemon slices sprinkled with salt near doors and windows.
  • Lemon disrupts ant pheromones, and salt acts as a protective barrier.

Result: ants will no longer find their way into your kitchen!
