King Charles teams up with Meghan and Harry’s streaming rival Amazon Prime Video on new eco documentary

King Charles has unveiled a new collaboration with streaming giant Amazon Prime Video for a major environmental film — a move that places him in direct partnership with one of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s biggest professional competitors.

A Royal Vision for the Planet

Titled “Finding Harmony: A King’s Vision,” the documentary will premiere globally in early 2026. It will follow the monarch’s lifelong dedication to environmental causes and his belief in living in balance with nature.

At 76, Charles said he hopes the film will shine a light on the extraordinary work happening across the globe to combat climate change and preserve the planet’s natural beauty.

“This film will, I hope, demonstrate just some of the remarkable work being done around the world to put Harmony into practice, from the forests of Guyana to sustainable communities in India – and, closer to home, through the work of my King’s Foundation at Dumfries House and Highgrove,” the King explained in his statement.

He added, “Never has it been more important for the world to make a concerted effort to protect and prioritise our planet, and to restore our relationship with it. It is therefore my fondest hope that this film may encourage a new audience to learn about the philosophy of Harmony – and perhaps inspire the same sense of determination it has given me to help build a more sustainable future.”

This collaboration marks King Charles’s first major project with a global streaming service. Earlier this year, he worked with Apple Music to curate a special playlist, but Finding Harmony represents a far greater media endeavor.

Amazon Prime Video’s involvement adds an interesting layer to royal entertainment dynamics, as it competes directly with Netflix—the platform that famously paid Prince Harry and Meghan Markle $100 million for their exclusive content deal.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex produced several projects for Netflix under their Archewell Productions banner, including the high-profile docuseries Harry & Meghan, which delved into their departure from royal life.

The Sussexes’ Changing Media Ties

The couple’s five-year Netflix contract expired earlier this year, and they have since signed a new non-exclusive “first look” agreement with the platform. This means they are now free to collaborate with other major studios and streamers.

Recently, Harry and Meghan made a surprise appearance in a Disney documentary commemorating 70 years of the original Disneyland park in Anaheim—suggesting their growing interest in more flexible, varied media opportunities.
