Aimee Osbourne, the eldest daughter of Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, was seen alongside her mother at a solemn family gathering held in memory of the late rock legend in Birmingham.
A Hometown Farewell for Ozzy Osbourne
On Wednesday, July 30, the Osbourne family joined thousands of fans in Birmingham to pay their final respects to Ozzy Osbourne, frontman of the iconic band Black Sabbath. The city, where Ozzy was born and raised, became the heart of a powerful tribute to the late musician.
The family arrived in the afternoon to join the funeral procession. Sharon Osbourne, 72, was spotted embracing Birmingham’s Lord Mayor, Zafar Iqbal. Accompanying her were her children—Aimee, Jack, and Kelly—each carrying a pink flower wrapped in black paper, which they placed among the growing floral memorial.
Mourners filled the streets to bid farewell to the music icon at Black Sabbath Bridge. As the hearse carrying Ozzy’s casket passed through the city, fans cheered, applauded, chanted his name, and tossed roses in tribute.
Sharon appeared visibly moved as she and her children took in the outpouring of love and remembrance.
A Rare Public Appearance by Aimee Osbourne
Many fans took note of Aimee’s presence—a rare sight, as she has long chosen to stay away from the spotlight. The eldest of the Osbourne children, Aimee distanced herself from the family’s reality TV fame, moving out at 16 before The Osbournes began filming.
Speaking to The Independent in 2020, she reflected:
“I still felt I was trying to figure out who I was in the chaos of family life.
So why on earth would I want that portrayed on television? I wanted to protect myself, my parents, my siblings, too. They
were very young, very impressionable,” she said.
Today, Aimee is the lead vocalist of her band ARO and credits her parents for helping her get her start in music.
“My parents overheard me kind of singing in my room. It was a friend of my parents who said, ‘Oh, you should come and stay with me and work with some producers and see what happens,’” she recalled.
At the procession, Aimee was seen comforting her mother as they moved together through the crowds.
Fans Send Love to the Osbourne Family
Tributes poured in from fans across social media, expressing heartbreak and support for the grieving family. One user on X wrote: As a daughter I feel absolutely gutted for Kelly, Jack, Aimee & their other siblings. I also feel awful for Sharon, I just can’t put myself in her shoes but she must be going through it terribly.”
Another shared:
“It is truly heart-breaking. My heart goes out to the Osbourne family during this difficult time.”
And a third added:
“God Bless Sharon, Kelly, Jack, Aimee, Louis and the family during this difficult time.”
