Queen Camilla’s ‘two-word instruction’ to Princess Kate over her children

Queen Camilla reportedly had a stern instruction to Kate Middleton over Prince George and Princess Charlotte at Queen Elizabeth II’s 2022 funeral.

George, now 11, and Charlotte, who turned 10 on May 2, attended the state funeral on September 19, 2022.

And, kids being kids, it was alleged at the time that the pair indulged in some sibling bickering on the day.

George and Charlotte behaved impeccably during the sombre funeral service.

However, one interaction between the pair – and Camilla’s alleged stern instruction to the Princess of Wales – was seemingly caught on camera.

The incident was said to have occurred outside Westminster Abbey following the service.

The Duchess of Sussex, the Princess of Wales, Queen Camilla, the Duchess of Edinburgh and George and Charlotte lined up to watch the start of the procession to Wellington Arch.

It was then that cheeky George reportedly playfully pinched his little sister.

Caught on camera, Charlotte appeared to turn around and say “ouch” before glaring at her brother.

In the video, Camilla could be seen pointing her finger and turning to gesture to Kate, who was standing behind her.

According to the Daily Star, lipreader Jeremy Freeman analysed the exchange.

He claimed that Camilla cut short George and Charlotte’s bickering, turned to Kate and frowned.

She then instructed Kate: “Take her.”

At the time, the moment didn’t go unnoticed on social media.

One tweeted: “Looks like Prince George and Princess Charlotte have a small disagreement. Look at the Queen Consort, Camilla.”

Another said: “What did Charlotte say when she turned back around? Was it wow? Oww?”

Others chastised Camilla for stepping in.

“Did you see Camilla berate Catherine re Charlotte at the Wellington Arch? Terrible,” said one.

Did Princess Charlotte cry at Queen Elizabeth’s funeral?

No, Princess Charlotte didn’t actually cry at Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral. But many people thought she did because of a photo taken during the service.

In the photo, Charlotte was seen wiping her eye, which led some to believe she was crying.

However, it was never confirmed—some reports said she might have just had something in her eye.

Queen Elizabeth II passed away on September 8, 2022, at the age of 96. Her state funeral was held on September 19, after a period of national mourning.

After her death, Charles became king and Camilla became queen consort. When King Charles had his coronation in 2023, Camilla officially became Queen Camilla.
