You’ve probably never heard of vitamin B17 because it’s been banned by the FDA.
One of the richest sources of vitamin B17 is apricot kernels — a fruit often overlooked. The vitamin is actually in the seed inside the hard pit. The cancer-fighting compound in vitamin B17, called Laetrile, contains amygdalin.
Why don’t doctors prescribe B17 to treat cancer if it’s so effective? G. Edward Griffin explains: “The means to control cancer is known, and it comes from nature, but it is not widely available to the public because it cannot be patented, and, therefore, is not commercially attractive to the pharmaceutical industry.”
Vitamin B17 is made up of hydrogen cyanide and glucose, which together give it anti-cancer effects. The benzaldehyde in glucose and cyanide act like a poison targeting cancer cells. Many health experts claim B17 is toxic, but this is just a myth.
Even though the FDA has not approved B17 as a treatment, some doctors, including John A. Richardson, MD, used it “illegally” to treat patients at his clinic in San Francisco, with results that were better than standard treatments. His successes are documented in Case Histories: The Richardson Cancer Clinic Experience by Richardson and Patricia Irving Griffin, RN. The FDA strongly opposes Laetrile, labeling it “illegal” for medical use, so it’s not available for sale in the U.S., but you can still buy amygdalin supplements. There are many reports of people claiming to have overcome cancer using B17.
Sloan-Kettering was upset by the FDA and AMA’s suppression of B17 and conducted studies for five years which showed that:
- B17 improved the overall health of cancer patients.
- It helped prevent cancer.
- It prevented cancer from spreading in mice.
- Laetrile slowed tumor growth.
Hearing about clinical trials is one thing, but stories of real people beating cancer with vitamin B17 are another — like Sandy Rog’s story.
Taking charge of your health
If you live a sedentary lifestyle and make unhealthy choices, cancer risks increase. Sometimes, cancer can occur despite healthy habits, but there’s no reason not to make positive choices every day.
Alongside B17, many natural foods may help fight cancer, including aloe vera gel, wheatgrass, sumac, chili peppers, Swiss chard, edible mushrooms, turmeric, raw fruits and vegetables, flax, aloe juice, chia seeds, and black seeds (Nigella sativa). It’s never too late to start eating well and reduce your health risks — you can begin right now!
