Meghan Markle’s Valentine’s Day love letter to Prince Harry has fans all over the world buzzing because of her special caption.
Just yesterday, the Duchess of Sussex posted a sweet photo of herself and her husband to mark the romantic holiday. The photo shows the couple enjoying a cozy dinner date together.
In the black-and-white snapshot, Harry and Meghan share a loving kiss, with plates of fish, chips, and burgers in front of them.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Valentine’s Day post stirred adorable reactions — and its usual backlash
Meghan shared a sweet message on social media while enjoying a burger, noting how her plate was almost finished, while Prince Harry’s was barely touched. She expressed pride in his work with the Invictus Games, calling him a source of inspiration.
Meghan promised to enjoy burgers and fries with him forever, finishing with “#lovewins.” Fans on social media were quick to notice the heartfelt gesture.
“A simple message from Meghan to Prince Harry that beautifully captures their lasting love,” said one person. “I just love how they love each other.”
Another added, “Meghan really said, ‘My love, I will eat burgers and fries and fish and chips with you forever.’ She truly loves that man, your honor. Their love is everything.”
A third person commented, “Oh, Meghan and Harry. They’ll be eating burgers, fries, and fish and chips together forever…”

Meghan can’t help but copy, especially when she will always feel inferior. William and Catherine only felt the need to sign with a ❤️. Nothing more and nothing less. Meghan, of course, needed a long and inane diatribe on “my love” and seeing them suck face again to sell it. pic.twitter.com/X4f1duF16D

Some users on X compared Meghan’s post to Prince William and Princess Kate’s romantic gesture, and it didn’t go well. William was seen kissing Kate on the cheek with a simple heart caption, while Meghan’s post included a long, heartfelt caption.
Royal News Network criticized Meghan for “copying” and feeling “inferior” to the Cambridges.
“I will eat burgers and fries and fish and chips with you forever,” she said
A few others joined in, sharing similar frustration as they tore into Meghan’s caption.
“Oh good grief,” one said, clearly annoyed. “Walmart Wallis’s complete lack of originality and creativity is just pathetic. I don’t think I’ve ever seen her post anything that wasn’t a poor imitation of someone else’s work.”
“Plus, she can’t just let the picture speak for itself, she has to add some overly sentimental ‘tribute’ too,” another account scolded.
A third user commented, “I got even more frustrated after Meghan’s Mole pointed out her ‘M’ signature — just like Catherine’s signature.”
“Very fake,” one person remarked. “Nothing about Meghan seems authentic.”

It seems the Duchess hasn’t exactly won over everyone, including her own staff. Earlier this month, it was reported that some of her palace workers gave her a rather unflattering nickname based on her supposed behavior.
In The London Times, British journalist Tom Quinn mentioned that Meghan was reportedly called the ‘Duchess of Difficult’ for a time.
“She could be difficult because she was finding life difficult — trying to feel her way and work out the intricacies of a positively medieval, labyrinthine system,” one anonymous staff member appeared to share with him.
She was said to have been confused by the formalities between King Charles III and his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Her behavior towards “the servants” was always changing.
“Meghan, through no fault of her own, wasn’t always great with her staff — she just wasn’t as used to it as Harry was,” a source explained.
“One moment, she’d be super friendly, maybe even overfriendly, hugging staff and trying to befriend them. Then, in the next moment, she’d get irritated because they wouldn’t respond instantly, no matter the time of day or night.”
For many, Harry and Meghan came across as “forced” and not genuine.
